The product shows its true freshness to the consumer and that resulted in an increase in turnover.
Company introduction

Jumbo Supermarkets make shopping an enjoyable activity. Jumbo is the second-largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands and the fastest grower in the industry. The company focuses entirely on customer satisfaction by offering tasty and healthy food. Direct action is their motto if improvement is possible. For every product, what is fresh must also look fresh.

Engineering

GBO investigated options for improving the packaging of fillet americain by working closely with three parties: the consumer, the producer of the packaging, and the supermarket manager. This led to design ideas that were first sketched and then prototyped using 3D printing. After several rounds of rigorous testing, improvement, and retesting, the GBO plastics engineers were able to deliver the production-ready design.
