During the pre-production phase of the product development process, the first products from the mold undergo an extensive inspection to analyze what can still be improved or optimized, with adjustments carefully documented. Everything is focused on the original goal: to jointly create a successful product. We achieve a smooth collaboration in this process with production partners we’ve been working with for over 15 years.
The transfer of the first samples is always a special moment.

Throughout the process, we constantly monitor quality. Quality reports are created using information from the specification sheets. The reporting begins with the evaluation of the FOT (First Out of Tool). These are the products that first come out of the mold during injection molding. They are usually not yet textured and allow for fine-tuning. The FOT and SOT (Second Out of Tool) enable efficient, step-by-step optimization to achieve the quality standard.
We closely involve the client at every step of the process, with the transfer of the first samples marking a significant milestone. The prototypes from earlier phases are now transformed into the first produced parts, directly from the mold. Together with the client, we inspect the fit, finish, and all relevant details. Any optimizations are carefully documented in 3D CAD and implemented in the mold..
After a thorough inspection of the first products (FOT & SOT), we adjust and optimize the tools for series production. This includes applying the final textures once the last details have been refined.
We preserve the first 'real' series products as a reference and offer them to the client as an approval sample. This marks the official start of production! It's essential to keep this sample as a visual representation of the intended quality, alongside the specification sheets and quality reports (FOT & SOT).
The official start of production has arrived. All conditions have been met, and production can begin. The product packaging, transport packaging, instructions, and other related items are ready, allowing us to offer the product as a full-service solution, tailored to your needs.
