What personal data does GBO collect and for what purposes?

GBO collects personal data so that we can identify you. Personal data refers to data that can be traced back to an individual, in this case, you as a visitor to the website and/or customer. We collect and process various personal data, such as your email address, username, as well as IP address and location data. GBO will never ask you for special personal data, such as religious beliefs, political opinions, race, health, or otherwise. The purpose of this data processing is to establish contact with potential customers and/or to send marketing messages. The legal bases for these processes are the performance of a contract, consent given by you, or a legitimate business interest. If you do not provide this data, you will not be able to use our services.

Consent

GBO will process personal data solely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If the processing of personal data is based on explicit consent, you always have the right to withdraw that consent. The withdrawal of your consent does not make prior processing based on that consent unlawful, but it does require that the processing must cease and your data (after any applicable retention period) must be deleted unless there is another legal basis for processing your data.

Processing of personal data

The processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of its activities and in relation to a legal obligation that rests on GBO. The processing of personal data does not occur solely on the basis of automated processing.

Retention period for personal data

GBO will not retain personal data longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The period during which personal data is stored will be determined based on the following criteria:

Administrative data (including personal data): seven years from the time of recording;
Other data (including any personal data): five years from the time of recording.
The recipients of the personal data

GBO does not disclose personal data to any third parties other than our processors without your consent, a third country, or an international organization, unless GBO is required to do so by law or a court ruling.

Rights of data subjects

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have several rights. You have the right to request access to your personal data. Additionally, you can ask us to correct, complete, delete, or restrict your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Finally, you can request the transfer of your personal data if the processing is based on consent and is carried out through automated processes. We will process your request no later than four weeks after you have submitted it. Additionally, if you believe there is cause for it, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
