Create a device were ergonomics, comfort, functionality, appearance, affordability and maintenance meet the wishes and needs of the user.
Eurocoin Gaming, part of the NOVOMATIC Group, is the fastest growing gambling provider in the Netherlands. The company offers a complete package of products for slot machine halls and catering operations.
Our challenge was to create a device where ergonomics, comfort, functionality, appearance, affordability and maintenance meet the wishes and needs of the user. After extensive research and a few worn-out sketch pencils, a clear picture of what the product should look like emerged.
Our team struggled with challenges like the placement of the buttons, the angle of the display, the choice of materials and the legroom. Especially the legroom challenge was a tough one, because Dutch people are pretty tall on average. This means that necessary legroom and foot support have to be created within the exterior design of the product.

The curved glass, the rounded bezel, and the door frame that gives structure to it all, it was an epic engineering challenge. Our multi-disciplinary approach and full service driven attitude makes these kinds of outcomes possible.”
The screen of the machine is set at an angle of 130 degrees for optimal viewing comfort. The slightly curved shape of the cabinet grants additional privacy and more immersive gameplay for the playing user. It’s an edgeless design with a single plane of bent glass that covers the entire front of the cabinet for a sleek and seamless finish. Instead of being just a pay tray, we explicitly designed the tray as a footrest. The footrest is therefore robustly designed, which also resulted in better protection of the hardware. The built-in LED strips do not interfere with the gameplay of the user.
Thanks to it’s unique and functional design, this is a true game-changer compared to previously, traditionally designed slot machines.
